WOO HOO!!! And whe . . . w. I know many of you, like me, were shouting an exclamation of joy and breathing an exhalation of relief on Tuesday night. Although there will likely still be “chaos, cruelty, and corruption” -- Senator Elect Peggy Flanagan’s words -- we have hope that it will be reined in and our healing from the trauma of the last two years can begin.
Members and friends, please consider volunteering for 1 or more slots to help WeCAN distribute holiday items. This is a fantastic opportunity to give back to your community and to get into the holiday spirit of giving (your time!). Sign up as a family or sign up with friends.

Bluesky was developed in 2020 as an open source, ad-free alternative to Twitter. It became popular after Musk bought Twitter and renamed it X. We think it will be a good avenue for us to connect with people who share our UU values.

Minnesota Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (MVUUF) will host its first annual UU Book Fair on Saturday, November 14, 1–5 PM at 10715 Zenith Ave. S. in Bloomington.
Come meet UU authors, explore books on a variety of topics, and support writers from our community.
UU authors are invited to apply for a table to sell and sign books, with opportunities to host readings. Applications are due October 15.

It’s hard to believe it’s already October and we’re starting our second program theme of the year: Courage. Our programs on September’s theme of Beginnings gave me lots to ponder and our Coffee & Snacks Klatsches afterwards gave me lots of time to connect with some of my very favorite people!

WeCAN Coat Drive
Join MUUSJA and WUUSAN (Minnesota and Wisconsin's state action networks) for a regional interfaith UU the Vote gathering in Duluth on Saturday, October 3, 2026 9:30am to 5:30pm. Across faith traditions, we are increasingly called to respond to authoritarian violence, community harm, and democratic crisis with care, coordination, imagination, and action.
Lake Fellowship RE program is hosting a Family Time every 3rd Sunday of the month. It will be from 10:00 to 10:30 at which point adults will head upstairs for the Adult Program. This is an opportunity for families to connect and ask questions and for children to play and explore the space. Light refreshments will be provided. As always, families are welcome every Sunday!
