WeCAN's Annual Valentine's Day Auction is Live!
Dear Lake Fellowship Members and Friends,
I invite you to briefly pause from worldly concerns and help me CELEBRATE that we’re GROWING! Congregationally and personally.
Let’s CELEBRATE that our congregation is GROWING! I’m excited to announce that Jeni and Joanne are now members of LFUU!
Dear LFUU Members and Friends,
How are you doing? My mind is often swirling and my body buzzing. I want to stay informed, but the news has caused me a lot of worry. Worry leaves me muddled and unable to act. I’m using this technique to stop worrying and transform it into calm:
When you notice worry, pause, then,
1. Note the mental image in your mind.
2. Note the story you're telling yourself about it.
3. Note the sensations in your body caused by stress hormones.
Take 3 deep breaths to clear those hormones, then,
Hi all, it’s time to continue our commitment to Lake Fellowship’s Neighborhood Food Project (NFP)! You all know how this works, you get some (non perishable) groceries/personal items and bring them to LF (or have a friend deliver them) on the first Sunday of the month (Sept- May) and Larry Muehlberg (thank you Larry and Peggy) will deliver the items to WeCAN’s food shelf and mobile market on Monday. We have a few “Green/Orange Bags” at the A-frame, so feel free to bring your donations and fill up a bag. WeCAN also takes cash or checks (WeCan Food Shelf).
You are invited to attend a free workshop on Saturday, February 22 with Zr. Alex Kapitan of the Transforming Hearts Collective. It is hosted by First Unitarian in Madison, and you can attend for free. Due to the generosity of an endowed fund, there is no charge to attend, and members of our congregation can attend in person or virtually by Zoom. More information and a link to register.
Dear LFUU Members and Friends,
I’m so proud and excited to tell my story about Lake Fellowship living our UU values!
Last week, Lake Fellowship members turned out in force at the state capitol to be a voice for justice and equity, side with the vulnerable, and show our elected officials we’re paying attention! Four of our members attended the ERA Rally and seven bundled up for the People’s March. At each of those, we had more members than any other UU congregation!!! And we’re one of the smallest! Let’s celebrate!
The Pink Haven Coalition has built a mutual-aid network of people working for trans survival. They've already helped hundreds of 2spirit, trans, and gender expansive people get to safer places and find local networks of support. Please consider contributing to Pink Haven's faithify campaign to they can keep expanding the network in effective and nimble ways!

Last week, those of you in attendance voted nearly unanimously in favor of adding Lake Fellowship to a list of united congregations in support of making Minnesota's universal school meal more inclusive and equitable.
Genevieve Vavreck from MN Plant-Based Kids responded to our participation with the following message:
LFUU Members and Friends,
This Monday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day coincides with the inauguration of President Donald Trump. Let that sink in for a moment . . . or two . . . or even three . . .
Are you wanting a way to acknowledge and/or act at this defining moment? Here are a few options:
