Your First Visit

A-frame in the spring

Welcome to Lake Fellowship of Unitarian Universalists. We look forward to meeting you!

What are Sunday Programs like?

Sunday Programs are held from 10:30-11:45 a.m. from the Sunday after Labor Day until the Sunday prior to Memorial Day (we do not have Programs during the summer, although we do have social gatherings).  Programs typically include music, sharing of joys and concerns, readings, a speaker and are followed by a fellowship hour with refreshments.  Visitors are encouraged to introduce themselves during the Program and the fellowship hour that follows, and to sign our guest book.  UU information for visitors is available in our brochure rack as well as in our Library.

What do people wear?

Attire ranges from jeans and t-shirts, sweaters and skirts, to suits and dresses.  People are encouraged to dress as they are comfortable.

Where can I park?

Free parking is available next to the A-frame.  Parking is first-come first-served.

Does Lake Fellowship provide child care and/or children’s education?

Children are always welcome at Lake Fellowship!

Pre-school age children and youth join the congregation for the beginning of the Sunday Program before going to religious education classes downstairs, and rejoin the congregation for social hour afterward. Children are equally welcome to remain with the congregation unless they are too disruptive. Religious education students are notified when it’s time to re-join the congregation following the Program.

Child care is available on an as needed basis; please notify us of your needs.

Is Lake Fellowship handicap accessible?

Yes.  Just past the parking lot entrance is a handicap-accessible paved walkway that leads to our back deck and entrance to the building.  Headphones are not required for audio enhancement because the building is so small.  Please contact us about other needs so that we can try to accommodate you.

Where is Lake Fellowship located?

We’re in Shorewood, MN, a few miles northwest of Excelsior.  We’re one block west of County Rd. 19, at 24575 Glen Rd.

  • "This is a warm, welcoming community that meets in an idyllic woodsy setting. Lake Fellowship is a lay-lead UU group with programs that range from educational, to spiritual, to just plain fun. The vibe is casual, friendly, and quaint, and there's almost always an opportunity to be heard and be part of the conversation." -Marnie
