Lake Fellowship is happy to welcome guest speaker Kim Witczak for the program this day.
After losing her husband to a preventable tragedy, Kim Witczak found herself in the fire—and chose to rise. In this talk, she shares how grief reshaped her life, led her to advocate in Washington, and ultimately helped her rediscover joy—not in spite of the pain, but because she walked through it.
Kim Witczak is a national drug safety advocate, producer, speaker, and change maker. After the sudden death of her husband due to an undisclosed side effect of an antidepressant, Kim stepped into a role she never imagined—taking on a David vs. Goliath battle against Big Pharma and the FDA. She helped secure FDA black box warnings, pushed for reform in Washington, and became a voice for those harmed by a system that too often puts profits before people. Rooted in faith, Kim chose to face her pain head-on rather than numb it—and discovered that real healing and lasting joy don’t come from escaping the hard stuff, but from walking through it.
