Our speaker today is Paul Maravelas. Paul will share the colorful history of this area we call home, pulling from his extensive research and studies of the Lake Minnetonka area.
Paul Maravelas grew up in Tonka Bay and works as a museum curator. He is currently completing a book on the history of Big Island for the Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Historical Society.

He will present a program on his journey to date including some historical background, challenges / ups and downs, and impact to lifestyle. The son of an astrophysicist and a teacher, UU Minister David Schwartz was taught from an early age that life means asking questions and always discovering, discussing, and reevaluating -- living in the world with humility and awe. His life-long spiritual journey began in the religious education programs at Follen UU Church of Lexington, Massachusetts, and it continued in religious studies at Tufts University in Boston and a Master of Divinity at Harvard Divinity School. He and his wife Teri -- also a UU minister -- live in Minneapolis with their two small children.
