A Morning of Sangha

Do you ever feel like you are stuck on a treadmill without an off switch?  Do your days often feel like a blur?  Are you trying hard just to keep up with the avalanche of activities before you?  Is it difficult to separate your work from the rest of your life?  Meditation is a means to quiet the mind, increase awareness, reduce stress, and cultivate positive qualities, such as kindness, empathy, and compassion.

"Map of the Universe" a new Cosmogram by Tomás Filsinger

Our presenter today is Tomás Filsinger, (b. Mexico City 1953) Graphic Artist/Cartographer - BFA UIA '76 , MFA UCLA '86.He will be presenting the insights, agony and ecstasy of trying to design and FINISH a new version of the "Map of the Universe" a Cosmogram for our age and its twin graphic that includes the Maya Calendric Cycles illustrating the evolution and comparison of other attempts to depict the Time/Space of the Cosmos in graphic form through different ages and cultures.
