Responsibilities: Creates, coordinates, publicizes and implements social gatherings. There are no set social events; the committee gets to decide. Events can be adults only or multi-generational. In the past, events have included Halloween and St. Patrick’s Day parties; music, movie and game nights; theater and museum outings; dinner and auction; dinner after the annual meeting. A camping and canoeing weekend, a summer picnic and small dinner parties have been planned by others not on the committee.

Time commitment:
- Planning: 4 hours a month (Sept-May)
- Implementation: 4-6 hours per event for set-up, overseeing and clean-up; typically plan one event every-other-month Sept.-May
