During the month of February we investigate what it means to act as a person, and a community, of intention. The programs, led by Matthew Tift, explore the relevance of three kinds of intention for Unitarian Universalists: intention as doing (Feb. 11), intention as plans (Feb. 18), and intention as belief (Feb. 25). The categories serve as only as a guide, and we welcome intentional diversions.
Henry David Thoreau wrote, "It is not enough to be busy. So are the ants. The question is: What are you busy about?" Intention is not the same as setting goals. This week we will explore the difference between strategic planning and strategic intention. We'll discuss how as individuals, and as a spiritual community, we can live deliberately and purposefully.
