Description

Most people didn’t choose their religious/spiritual beliefs; they believe what their parents believed. Most didn’t choose their religion; they stay in the religion they were raised in. Many didn’t choose their church; they go to the one they were raised in. If they did choose, it’s one very similar.

Not us. Most of us chose our beliefs, religion, and church, and they’re different from what our parents believed and what we were raised in. We ended up here, at Lake Fellowship, because we made intentional choices.

Today, with the purpose of getting to know and understand each other better, we will break into small groups and share the answers to these questions:
 What are your religious/spiritual beliefs? How and why did you choose them?
 How and why did you choose Unitarian-Universalism?
 How and why did you choose Lake Fellowship?
 How and why did you feel like you mattered to Lake Fellowship?

We will then come back together to share what we learned about each other with the larger group.

Facilitated by member Laurie Gauer.
