On this day we celebrate gratitude with our annual Thanksgiving potluck.
Before we eat we have a special short program, led by Tim Wendt, chair of the Les Kraus Charitable Outreach Committee. From Tim:
Hello Lake Fellowship members and friends, I am asking you to bring non perishable food items and/or supplies (see the list of needs from WeCAN below) on Sunday, November 19th to our Thanksgiving Potluck. Our last food drive successfully collected 67 lbs of much needed food, thanks to your generosity.
We will also introduce an exciting new partnership to assist WeCAN’s food shelf by introducing “The Neighborhood Food Project”. WeCAN’s Volunteer coordinator, Kari Raaen, and Lake Fellowship member, Tim Wendt, will give a brief presentation to introduce a way to help WeCAN’s food shelf maintain an ongoing supply of food and supplies to persons in need in our community. Kari can answer your questions regarding our local community’s needs for food and supplies that WeCAN distributes.
She will also briefly talk about their next community program, their Christmas gift giveaway.
Food insecurity is an ongoing problem in our community and the Neighborhood Food Project is one way we, as the Lake Fellowship community, can actively provide needed assistance.
Please note that this event will be IN-PERSON only. There will be no Zoom room on this day.
