Description

Obviously, the past 1-1/2 years was a turbulent time: the pandemic, George Floyd’s murder, and the election, and all of the changes, divisiveness, and unrest related to each. As a result, many of us experienced changes in our relationships.

For this program, Lake Fellowship member Laurie Gauer asks those who are willing to share their personal stories and reflections on how their relationships have changed during this time. Feel free to prepare responses or just listen and be with us.

Before we meet, think about how this time affected your relationship with yourself, partner, family, friends, pets, congregation, community, wider world, home, nature, etc.

Some things to consider:

  • Which ones changed? How? Why? Is it lasting change? What are the repercussions?
  • Did the events of the year have a cumulative effect?
  • What other situations in your life impacted the changes?
  • What have you learned about those relationships and yourself in them and in others?
