Lake Fellowship welcomes Sondra Samuels, a Founding Leader and the President and Chief Executive Officer of Northside Achievement Zone to speak to us. 

According to the latest research, a child's life trajectory is often determined by the neighborhood where there are raised. The Northside Achievement Zone (NAZ) is a comprehensive community strategy to ensure that a child's zip code is not their destiny. While NAZ has seen demonstrable success over the years, the triple threat of the pandemic, the killing of George Floyd, and historic levels of violence threaten to set us back in incalculable ways. Come learn about what NAZ is doing to address the issues and why they won't give up! In fact they have said, "we are just getting started!!"

The Northside Achievement Zone exists to permanently close the achievement hap and end generational poverty in North Minneapolis. Together with our partner organizations, we are walking side by side with low-income families as they put their children on a path to college.
