Please join us as Lake Fellowship welcomes guest speaker Kathryn Gonzales.

From Kathryn: In our hearts, we likely share the longing to experience a constant sense of safety, security and predictability to fully thrive and live what many may refer to as ‘a good life’. A deeper truth is that life is messy. Uncertainty slaps us in the face; unexpected situations can make us feel like the rug has been pulled out from under us; discomfort may prevail in the roller coaster ride of our life’s journey. How do we best navigate these challenges and disruptions, especially in the face of uncertainty and fast-paced change? How can we use these moments to grow and gain strength rather than succumb to overwhelm, paralysis and cynicism in the face of challenge? Wouldn’t it be wonderful to experience pleasure regardless of the highs and lows? Please join us as together we  explore ways in which resilience can become a dear friend, building our capacity to enjoy this roller coaster ride called LIFE, and supporting us to face challenges with courage, boldness and an open heart.

Kathryn has dedicated the last 20 years to the study of individual and collective change. Her journey has led her through explorations and teachings that include contemplative and heart-centered practices, holistic therapies, the science of consciousness, and the latest research in neuroscience, positive psychology, and well-being. She has led and supported the start-up of various group study circles in Compassionate and Nonviolent Communication (NVC), and is a life student of transformational leadership practices that support radical honesty, inclusivity and authenticity.

Kathryn lives in Bemidji, MN with her wonderful husband Brick and five lovely cats. She has practiced and taught Kundalini Yoga and meditation for over 20 years.
