Description

“Perhaps the biggest challenge we face when accessing information is confronting our biases before we are able to unpack the opinions and insights of other people. Often these biases are unconscious or implicit, meaning we might not even be aware we have them.” --Jacquelyn Whiting

For this program, member Laurie Gauer, will guide us through the lesson created by Jacquelyn Whiting, high school library media specialist in Connecticut and co-author of News Literacy: The Keys to Combating Fake News, to nurture self-awareness of our biases and their impact on how we gather information.
