Lake Fellowship proudly welcomes back Sondra Samuels, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Northside Achievement Zone (NAZ).
May 2024 will be the 70th anniversary of Brown vs. the Board of Education- the landmark Supreme Court decision which outlawed school segregation in our country with the goal of ensuring racial equity in education, particularly for African American children and youth. Sondra's talk will center on how far our country still has to go in achieving its goal; what it will take to create real opportunities for ALL children to succeed in school and life; and how the Northside Achievement Zone's collaborative movement has brought together people, organizations and sectors poised to complete the unfinished work Brown tried to accomplish.
