The Age of Surveillance Capitalism

Lake Fellowship member Matthew Tift will speak today on the subject of Surveillance Capitalism. Last year Shoshana Zuboff provided startling insights into the phenomenon that she has named surveillance capitalism. She shows how predictions about our behavior that were once just bought and sold have now been replaced with successful endeavors into "behavioral modification.” In this talk, Matthew will discuss this books, it's key arguments, and the relevance of these ideas to Unitarian Universalism. And he will probably answer many, many questions.
