Description

Lake Fellowship member Mike "Bru" Eye will lead our program this Sunday.

About the program: The Vera C. Rubin Observatory was designed to push astronomy and astrophysics knowledge further than any other telescope. The camera used to collect the images was built at Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC) in California with some help from the finishing shop where LFUU member Mike Eye worked at the time. Fast forward to today and the observatory is collecting images to fulfill its mission and expand our understanding of the cosmos. Join us as Mike presents some of the history and successes being currently achieved.
