OUTDOOR WORK:
1. Planting of hostas/plants to replace the existing bush next to the staircase
2. Trees trimmed back where necessary
3. Drain tile between handicapped access stairway to be cleaned/inspected
4. Well head by path to be painted, concrete posts to be added if possible
It's an annual tradition! Jo Hermann has graciously opened her beautiful home on Christmas Lake for our Lake Fellowship annual summer extravaganza!
As in past years, there will be plenty of activities: volleyball (land or lake), bocce ball, ping pong, water-skiing, swimming, board games, visiting, resting, eating, etc...
Plan to arrive anytime after 11 a.m.; we'll start the buffet at about noon and snack all day. Please bring a dish to share and your own beverages (coffee and orange juice will be provided).
Les Kraus asks us to Save The Date for a birthday celebration on July 26th, 2014. Beatriz Aguerrevere is turning 75 - Incredible! No details yet, except that it is NOT a surprise party.
Join us for our annual camping and canoeing trip at Wild River State Park. See attached document for more information.
Hi all you game lovers! Bring your favorite Board or other game; your ping pong gear; or just come and participate. Let your competitive spirit run amok. Snacks and beverages will be provided, and donations to offset these costs are appreciated.
After a sucessful first gathering last week, we invite you (and those you know) to join us this Sunday for another discussion.
Our topic this week will be focused on how your belief (however you define that) "works" for you. in what ways do your beliefs support, encourage, or inspire you? In what ways do your beliefs help you make sense of the unknown or the unexplainable?
We'll dig into those questions, and figure out what our next topic will be after this.
As mentioned a few times at our fellowship, we're starting a new group to discuss spirituality and belief in greater detail. While we don't have any firm goals or protocols in place yet, we hope to foster a democratic growth of those goals through our discussions to arrive at goals that serve to decode, illuminate, and inspire our own spiritualities.
Join us for some or all of this very fun, family weekend at Wild River State Park: Camp Friday and/or Saturday night, canoe the St. Croix on Saturday, picnic at our Mexican potluck Saturday night. For more info, post a comment below.
