As Unitarian Universalists committed to justice and equity, we play a vital role in ensuring constitutional protections against gender-based discrimination. The Minnesota ERA bill (SF37, HF173) intersects with issues so many of our congregations are already committed to and engaged in: reproductive justice, trans refuge, disability justice, and anti-racism.
This webinar will cover the ERA's history, its current status in Minnesota, and why this work is more urgent than ever given the shifting landscape of rights and protections under the current federal administration. Speakers will provide insights into the legal and social impact of an ERA, as well as actionable ways to support its passage.
