The Soup Sunday logo is a pair of hands holding a steaming bowl. The steam forms a heart shape, and the words Soup Sunday are below the hands.

Soup Sunday

This Sunday, May 3rd, is Soup Sunday.  The Lake Fellowship board has volunteered to bring the soup/snack this Sunday.  Reminder to bring some cash or a check to donate to a local organization that provides food to our food insecure neighbors.

Neighborhood Food Project

This Sunday is also our monthly collection day for the Neighborhood Food Project (NFP).

Please bring groceries/items to Lake Fellowship. We have a few “Green/orange Bags” at the A-frame, so feel free to bring your donations in your own bag(s) from home and fill up a bag at Lake Fellowship.  WeCAN also takes checks if you want to make a cash donation, which they use to buy perishables.

See the list below for the most recent wish list of most-needed items:

A list of items that are the current needs for Spring 2026 for WeCAN

Laurie Gauer has volunteered to deliver our donations to WeCAN on Monday (thanks Laurie).  This will be the last NFP collection until we resume our regular programs on Sept. 6th.  Let’s end our food drive on a high note; please give generously.

LFUU set a goal to donate 1,000 pounds of non perishables this year (Sept. - May) to WeCAN, and we have one more month (May) to reach our goal.  Thus far (Sept - March), we have donated 567 lbs of food, more than 25 personal care items and more than $192.00 in cash.

Thanks for continuing to make a difference in our community.
