Neighborhood Food Project (NFP)
At the start of this programming year, Lake Fellowship set a goal to donate 1,000 pounds of non perishables to WeCAN. We donated 737 pounds of food, more than 37 personal care items and more than $327 in cash. While we feel short of our 1,000 lb goal for 2025 - 2026, we crushed it when it came to personal care items and cash. Wow! WeCAN told me that Lake Fellowship donates more per member than any other faith organization in our area! We are small but mighty when it comes to giving back to the community in a way that reduces food insecurity to our neighbors.
Soup Sunday
Soup Sunday was well attended by the members and they were generous in their giving. This is a list of total amounts donated to local charities that provide services to our neighbors who have food insecurities:

This total is remarkably generous and it shows our commitment of giving to organizations that assist neighbors with a host of supports, like providing emergency rent assistance, gas to get to work or appointments, clothes to assist people in getting jobs or keeping warm, and so many more services.
Lake Fellowship friends and members are truly generous in giving back to those in need.
