Dear LFFU Members and Friends,
It’s hard to believe it’s already October and we’re starting our second program theme of the year: Courage. Our programs on September’s theme of Beginnings gave me lots to ponder and our Coffee & Snacks Klatsches afterwards gave me lots of time to connect with some of my very favorite people!
September also gave me opportunities to witness our members giving back to our Fellowship community. Their efforts will help us realize the Board’s new three-year goals . . . whether that was their intention or not. Here are just a few of those efforts and the goals they’re helping us reach:
- Marnie, who sends our emails, created a way to send notices via texts to those who opt in. (Goal: Increase the number of members who are actively engaged in supporting the Fellowship.)
- Maia, our Religious Exploration Director, started a monthly Family Time from 10-10:30 a.m. for children and their parents to connect with her and each other. (Goal: Expand communication to visitors with children.)
- Larry and Mike from Building and Grounds repaired the railing on our front steps. (Goal: Proactively maintain building & grounds.)
- Helene and Maia, our Celebrations Committee, planned a Mahjong night and a nature walk for us. (Goal: Continue enhancing Fellowship operations, activities, and support for the broader community.)
Thanks to everyone who gives time, talents, resources, and/or money to support this community!
What did the Fellowship give you in September? How might you give back to the Fellowship in October?
Yours in Fellowship,
Laurie Gauer, Chair, LFUU Board of Trustees
