This Sunday, Nov. 2nd, is Soup Sunday, Yahoo!
You remember how this works, you get something tasty (soup or yummy snacks) to eat and you donate $$ to the charity chosen by your “soup” makers.
Also, please sign up to provide “soup” for a future Sunday. You’ll find a signup sheet on the bulletin board (thanks for putting that up, Terry). Remember, several people can band together to make the soup and defray the cost.
We collected over $130.00 in Oct. (thanks Larsons) which was donated to The Youth Farm -- nice job UU’s! There is a list of vetted (legit) on the bulletin board at the A frame to choose from.
Thank you all for your donations and to the “soup makers”! This Sunday, John and Helene will be the soup makers, thanks guys! John and Helene have selected Dream of Wild Health as this month's charity.
The mission of Dream of Wild Health is to restore health and well-being in the Native community by recovering knowledge of and access to healthy Indigenous foods, medicines and lifeways.
We need volunteers to make soup for December, 7th, January 4th, February 1st, March 1st, April 5th and May 3rd. Soup Sunday feeds us and many others in our community along with giving us time to share fellowship with each other.
Thank you all for your participation.
It’s time to collect your non perishables and bring them to LF this Sunday, Nov. 2nd, for Lake Fellowship’s Neighborhood Food Project!
You all know how this works, you get some groceries/personal items and bring them to LF on the first Sunday of the month (Sept- May), Curtis and Patsy (Tim W.) will deliver the items to WeCAN’s food shelf and mobile mark on Monday. We have a few “Green/orange Bags” at the A-frame, so feel free to bring your donations in your bag(s) and fill up a bag. WeCAN also takes checks if you want to make a cash donation, which they used to buy perishables.
Here are WeCAN’s recommend items most in current need, especially personal care items.
