Lake Fellowship is currently providing childcare for children 3 and under, and Religious Education instruction for kids 4 and older. Class is during adult programming from 10:30-11:45 on Sundays and kids ages currently range from 2 to 13. Weekly classes focus on UU principles, an introduction to other religions, and experiencing our natural environment outside the A-frame. Religious Education students traditionally produce a fun play for the entire fellowship to watch at some point during the year as well. New families welcome!

In the religious education program we teach about world religions and Unitarian Universalism principles and values through stories, play, and music. When appropriate, we focus on the same monthly theme as the adult program.
Maia is our Religious Education and Child Care Director, and also our Music Director. She is a preschool teacher at the Orono Discovery Center. She has a Bachelor's of Arts with a major in Educational Studies and minor in Music from The College of St. Scholastica and has worked with children for many years. Maia grew up at Lake Fellowship attending the religious education program as a child and teaching since she was a teenager.
