Join us at the Lake Fellowship A-frame for a joyful fusion of Qigong (the mother of Tai Chi), Mindfulness Breath Work, and gentle spinal alignment. This class is free and JUST for Fellowship Members and Friends, and their guests! Attend one or all four one-hour sessions: May 6, 13, 20, and 27. No need to register . . . just show up. It is an intro class and can be done standing or sitting. No special gear or clothing needed. If it’s nice out, we’ll be practicing outside.
The practice honors the body’s natural movement and the cyclical nature of life. It restores balance and harmony, and allows the mind to calm, the nervous system to reset, and the body to experience joy and equilibrium. It’s uplifting, helps to release tension, and creates a peaceful shift in energy, leaving you feeling grounded, centered, and in heart-brain coherence.
Scientific research indicates that Qigong has positive, measurable healing effects on the body, particularly as a complementary therapy for reducing stress, improving balance, and managing chronic pain. Studies suggest it enhances immune function, reduces inflammation, and improves mental health by lowering anxiety and depression.
The class is led by Fellowship Friend Beau Kraus. Beau founded BK Healing Arts in 2015, which offers a blend of ancient wisdom traditions and modern therapeutic modalities to support balance and realignment in body and soul. Born and raised in Germany, Beau’s path into preventative and self-healing practices began through the studies and applications of Yoga philosophy, Qigong and meditation —first as a student, then as a teacher. These practices opened a deeper curiosity about how our internal states shape the way we experience the external world, and how deeper awareness of our thoughts can open the doorway to consciousness and authentic self-realization. Over time, this led her into metaphysics, universal teachings, and a growing awareness of the connection between nature, the subtle body, and all living systems.
Beau holds a variety of certifications including Medical Qigong, NLP Therapeutic Coaching, Reiki Mastery, and Sound Healing facilitation. For more than twenty years, she has walked and incorporated a path of personal inquiry, self-realization and change in lifestyle. Her work focuses on intuitively guiding and supporting individuals, couples, and groups to recognize energetic blockages, restore brain heart coherence, and create ideas and tailored solutions on how to live a balanced rhythm in daily life through energetic practices.
Outside of her healing work, she enjoys exploring new experiences, creating innovative and progressive ideas within communities, spending time immersed in nature, hiking, slowing down to breathe and daydream in the cosmos, generating art and intentionally shaping - living everyday life as a humble, beautiful, and magical gift. Music remains one of her deepest companions — working with sound and frequency, both felt and played, brings her joy and continually enhances the quiet magic of being alive.
