Fundraiser

Soup Sunday: March 2nd, 2025

This Sunday is the 1st Sunday of the month, which means it’s “Soup Sunday“!

Marilyn and Amy will be making and serving a delicious vegetarian soup for you to enjoy, and your part in this is to donate (however much you want) to the charity that Marilyn and Amy will choose.

So bring some bucks, enjoy a first class program and then partake in some delicious soup in fellowship.  We hope you will walk away refreshed after chatting with new or current friends and nourish your soul a bit by helping others with food insecurity.

Enjoy!

Soup Sunday

Every first Sunday of the month is Soup Sunday!

All are welcome to stay after the program to enjoy a delicious hot soup lunch, provided by members and friends of Lake Fellowship. Donations are accepted for a well-vetted charity of the soup maker's choice.

Volunteers are needed for more Sundays this year. Please see the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board near the kitchen, or contact Tim Wendt.

Mark Twain called the late 19th century the “Gilded Age”—glittering on the surface but corrupt underneath. It was a period of greed and guile: of corporate buccaneers, scandal-plagued politics and vulgar display. It was also an era of abject poverty and inequality as millions of immigrants poured into the United States and the high concentration of wealth became more visible and contentious. Sound familiar?
