On March 31, we join the global community in observing International Transgender Day of Visibility, a day dedicated to celebrating the lives and accomplishments of transgender and gender non-conforming individuals. This day is an important reminder of the resilience, courage, and strength of the transgender community, and it highlights the ongoing fight for equality and acceptance. As a Unitarian Universalist congregation, we affirm the inherent worth and dignity of all people, and we stand in solidarity with our transgender siblings in their pursuit of justice, respect, and love. Let us take a moment on this day to reflect on the progress we’ve made and commit ourselves to continued advocacy for a world where everyone can live authentically and safely.
