Description

Please join Marnie Karger as she leads a group discussion about how we can quest for racial justice. As a predominantly white congregation, we are, by default, members of the oppressive class in our culture. How then do we help solve the systemic and institutionalized problem of racial injustice? We'll discuss matters that pertain to our fellowship specifically as well as those that affect the larger UU community. This is the second part of a two-part discussion between this Sunday and last.

At the end of last week's program, Marnie left us with some "homework" options to do sometime over the week. She invites you to perform one of the following assignments:

1. Recall an instance when you witnessed or learned about an act of racial injustice.

2. Do a little research into a group such as MUUSJA or SURJ and find one noteworthy aspect therein.

3. Decide on an "easy win" step that you yourself can take to help progress racial justice.

We look forward to your thoughts and reflections.
