Description

Today we welcome Alan Ware from World Population Balance (http://www.worldpopulationbalance.org/) to speak to us about global overpopulation and working toward a more sustainable future.

Alan will present the sobering facts of overpopulation and the hopeful message that overpopulation is solvable.  He will present the facts of resource depletion, species loss, and climate change and connect them to the planet’s huge and growing human numbers.  He will also present the hopeful message that overpopulation is solvable through a dramatic and voluntary reduction in birth rates.  And he'll offer concrete steps to raise overpopulation awareness and take action.

About Alan: Alan Ware works with World Population Balance as researcher, writer, and speaker.  In addition to research into solving overpopulation he’s also read and researched broadly in the areas of energy, economics, and the environment and how those topics relate to long-term sustainability.
