Responsibilities: Ensures the planning and delivery of children’s religious education programming by researching and purchasing curriculum as needed and teaching or hiring a teacher. Ensures childcare is provided when needed by recruiting Fellowship teenagers or hiring a childcare provider. Coordinates with parents and program committee to plan intergenerational activities. May also plan special events or outings for the children and/or their families.
Skills needed: organization, supervisory and/or teaching, ability to work well with children, communication
Additional requirement: criminal background check on anyone in direct contact with children
Time commitment: 2-12 hours a month Aug.-May, depending on whether committee members are teaching
